Greenman & Son's Watches - Inspired Art Watches. founded with the mission to provide high quality custom watches at an affordable price. Facing the enormity of offerings from the major and independent brands and looking at the acceleration of pricing into the stratosphere across the industry I saw an opportunity to provide a quality mechanical automatic timepiece as a custom personal statement. As the mid-to-upper-end makers face another "Quartz Crisis" from Apple and Samsung. The modest modern day analog wristwatch faces replacement once again.
Striking out against this trend we want to lend a hand, or three, to the craft. Offering fully regulated and dressed movements with perlage, decorative bridges and custom rotors viewed through an exhibition caseback coupled with the personalization to ensure your timepiece is 1 of 1. Your own unique handcrafted vision. There is little else so rewarding as wearing a custom watch.
Pursuing work in watchmaking had always been a dream but not a path I put myself on young in life. Fast forward to my late 30's and a diagnosis of severe heart-failure with complications slowed me down. I began treatment with a skilled team at Massachusetts General Hospital. While balancing my career with what was at the time a hobby I realized assembling custom made watches fitting a personal vision was a perfect fit. I launched this effort in particular for my wife and two young sons. The rhythmic beat of a mechanical watch movement speaks volumes to me and I hope my story and what we create together inspires you.
All of our Seiko, Miyota, ETA and Sellita movements are regulated for solid timekeeping and backed by a Timegrapher analysis. Models may feature a sapphire caseback and deco-plates, colored gears and 24k gold-leaf wrapped bridges. Heat blued screws and a custom ornate rotor that winds the watch.
All timepieces are tank pressure-tested, regulated and adjusted and tested for QC before shipment. As these are custom, unique and not mass-produced pieces they may be subject to an occasional defect. As such, all movements come with a 5 year replacement warranty in effect from time of purchase. Initial Return shipping is your responsibility.
The mechanical movement inside each of our watches is powered by the movement of your wrist. Abraham-Louis Perrelet is credited with the invention of the auto-winding mechanical watch movement in 1778 when the colonial states of America were but 2 years old. Our watches use cost effective and ultra-reliable Seiko movements as our base. Each movement is regulated and you have the option to dress it and personalize it.
